Water treatment

Water treatment or water treatment is the process of improving the quality of water in various ways for subsequent use or discharge. Thanks to close cooperation with resource supplying organizations and leading service and engineering companies in Russia, we have the ability to purify and disinfect wastewater in accordance with the regulatory requirements of environmental legislation.

The main specialization of the company's activity in this area is wastewater treatment from impurities of various oil products and petrochemicals. This type of industrial pollution of water is the most common in industry, the main task of purification is to obtain water suitable for subsequent use in industry, for domestic needs or discharge into a reservoir.

The widespread use of water in the technological processes of petrochemical and oil refining industries makes the task of treating such wastewater especially urgent.

The main use of water in technological processes of petrochemical plants:

  • For technical purposes:
    • cooling products and equipment;
    • preparation of solutions, emulsions, cutting fluids;
    • preparation of make-up water for boilers, cooling towers, steam generators, etc.;
    • preparation of aqueous solutions for repair work on boreholes.
  • As a heat carrier, refrigerant for cooling and heating equipment.
  • As a reagent or raw material for the production of hydrogen, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and other chemical products.

Wastewater from petrochemicals and refineries is highly toxic and poses a serious environmental hazard. Cleaning them is a complex process that requires proper step-by-step cleaning, as by-products can be volatile, toxic and explosive.

In many cases, the treatment of such effluents requires a combination of treatment methods to remove oils, oil films, organic matter, heavy metals and salts.

The main types of unidentified petroleum hydrocarbons in water:

  • fuel oil impurities;
  • gasoline pollution;
  • kerosene pollution;
  • impurities of petroleum oils.

Oil impurities are divided into categories:

  • easily separable (when combined with water, an emulsion is formed, which can be easily removed);
  • difficult to remove (are in a droplet (coarse) state, the most common type of oil pollution);
  • soluble.

Wastewater treatment methods for oil products and petrochemicals

The main methods for purifying wastewater from impurities of oil and oil products are:

  • mechanical methods (retention, averaging, settling; centrifugal removal; filtration);
  • chemical methods (neutralization, oxidation, coagulation);
  • physicochemical techniques (coagulation, flotation, adsorption, ion exchange, extraction, rectification, evaporation, distillation (evaporation), hyperfiltration (reverse osmosis) and ultrafiltration, crystallization, electrocoagulation);
  • biological methods of purification (using the ability of various microorganisms to break down and assimilate harmful impurities).

Our company has the necessary experience and knowledge for high-quality work in the field of water treatment and water treatment, we are ready to choose the most optimal technological solution for the treatment of both industrial and storm waste water, taking into account the specifics of production.
